Coldplay
Record-breaking band Coldplay sold out both of their Foxborough shows at Gillette Stadium. They played old favorites and new jams. The concert was marked with controversy surrounding their “kiss cam,” which captured an affair between the CEO and Chief People Officer at the software company Astronomer. Despite this, fans of all ages were invited to join in singing the group’s alternative and nostalgic tracks.
Gracie Abrams
On July 23–24, pop phenomenon Gracie Abrams graced the stage on her Boston leg of The Secret of Us Deluxe Tour. Abrams’s opener, Djo, kicked off both nights with two electric sets, setting the tone for the rest of the doubleheader. With both nights completely sold out, Abrams performed hits like “I Love You, I’m Sorry” and “That’s So True” to the packed crowds of TD Garden. After her concert at the Garden just a few months prior, the singer was certainly given a warm welcome back to Boston.
Morgan Wallen
On August 22–23, Morgan Wallen took the stage at Gillette Stadium for the first time. The popular country singer captivated thousands of fans, singing hits like “Last Night” and “Just In Case.” These sold-out Foxborough shows were just two stops out of Wallen’s I’m The Problem Tour across the United States.
Tate McRae
Pop artist Tate McRae’s blend of energy and catchy pop lyrics left Boston with two incredible nights to remember. With displays of McRae’s energetic choreography embedded throughout her August 26–27 shows, the star provided TD Garden with performances that went above and beyond. In addition, tens of thousands of fans shouting out the lyrics, “I still think ‘bout that night out in Boston” from her hit song “Revolving door” certainly contributed to the dynamic atmosphere.
Tyler, the Creator
Following his pop-up concert at Converse headquarters during the release of his newest album, Chromakopia, Tyler, the Creator returned to Boston as part of Chromakopia: The World Tour. He played new songs such as “Like Him” and “Sticky,” as well as popular hits like “See You Again.” Tyler brought his signature hype and energy, as well as his comedic humor to TD Garden, alongside duo Paris Texas and hip-hop star Lil Yachty.
The Weeknd
The “Blinding Lights” star touched down in Foxborough at Gillette Stadium on June 10–11, delivering an enthralling performance that showcased hits from his newest album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, as well as his earliest works, such as House of Balloons. The Weeknd was also accompanied by frequent collaborators Playboi Carti and Mike Dean, both of whom helped elevate the atmosphere. With pyrotechnics and stunning light shows, the concert was praised for its visual interest and high energy.
