Visit these three small businesses for a delicious summer treat! By buying a cup of ice cream, gelato or coffee, you will not only satisfy your cravings but also support local businesses in the Boston area.
Delini Gelato
Located on 5 Bellevue Street, Delini Gelato is a favorite in the West Roxbury community. Before the owner, Viktoria Petkova, launched Delini Gelato in 2020, she trained with chefs and artisans in Europe. The shop’s ingredients are locally sourced and organic, with no artificial additives or preservatives. Their flavors are constantly being updated, but I recommend the Honey Lavender and Salted Caramel. Their gelato’s creamy texture and intense flavors are the perfect addition to a summer day!
Honeycomb Creamery
Made completely from scratch and its dairy sourced directly from Mapleline Farm in Hadley, Massachusetts, the ice cream from Honeycomb Creamery, located at 1702 Massachusetts Avenue, is like no other. Unique flavors include Orange Olive Oil Brownie, Matcha Lemon and notably, Bunny Tracks, a carrot ice cream with carrot cake pieces. Their flavors, however, rotate, so be sure to check them out before they are gone!
Chill on Park
Home to the Fields Corner community, Chill on Park is located at 142 Park Street. The owners Alan and Wendy Issokson are passionate about engaging with the community through supporting charities, hiring within the Dorchester community and sourcing locally. They also serve coffee and pastries from other small businesses in addition to their delicious ice cream flavors such as Butter Pecan, Rum Raisin and Salted Caramel Truffle.
